Man Who Lost Millions In Bitcoin Might Buy Dump

A man who believes his hard drive containing $700 million dollars in Bitcoin is in a landfill is considering buying the entire dump! James Howells from Wales claims his then-partner (now ex) accidentally threw the drive away in 2013. While Howells has been struggling to gain access to the dump site to search for his hard drive, his requests have been denied. Now, he’s looking to buy the site. “I would potentially be interested in purchasing the landfill site ‘as is’ and have discussed this option with investment partners,” Howells said. Even if the sale goes through, the 39-year-old has his work cut out for him: The landfill contains over 1.5 million tons of garbage. (Irish Star)
