If you’re not sure if you’re ready for marriage, try asking your friends! Researchers from Michigan State University decided to see how well your pals can judge if you’re prepared to commit. The study examined 193 groups of friends and asked them to assess who is ready, and who needs more time. Friends seemed to be able to pick up on avoidance and anxious attachment issues. When your friend group thinks you’re ready, they may begin to make subtle comments about marriage. “Friends play a key role in forming and maintaining romantic relationships, from introductions to advice,” lead author Hyewon Yang said.
