Staff at the Rescued Treasures Thrift Store in Wyoming found an old police docket from 1904. The docket, bound in red leather, detailed various crimes and fines in Casper. Keeping a house of prostitution was punishable with a $100 dollar fine, and riding a horse while intoxicated would set you back $4.10. The docket has since been returned to the City of Casper. “While much has changed, many challenges remain the same, though ‘riding while intoxicated’ likely no longer refers to horseback,” Community Engagement Coordinator Adam Flack said.
