This Is The Deadliest Flu Season In A Decade

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recent report, this flu season could be the deadliest in a decade. So far, there have been 29 million cases and 370,000 hospitalizations this winter alone. “Just recently, for the first time this year, flu deaths have surpassed COVID deaths,” Dr. Lauren Siewny said. Dr. Siewny recommends the flu vaccine for those who have not yet received it. “The flu vaccine is the best protection we have, particularly at preventing those hospitalizations in the folks who are more susceptible to influenza complications.” (UPI)
