In response to the threat of tariffs, some Canadian cafes have begun renaming “Americano” coffees. Instead, the popular beverage, made with espresso shots and water, has been dubbed the “Canadiano.” The trend apparently was started by British Columbia’s Kicking Horse Coffee, which put out a call for a more “patriotic” name for the beverage. This snarky jab is apparently in protest against 25% import tariffs, which are set to go into effect next month. (newser)
