A Talker Research survey on behalf of Intima found that the average woman starts to get serious about their health around age 40. The poll of 2,000 women found that respondents have eight unanswered health questions, and younger women are more likely to come up with “theories” as to what’s wrong. Before they had answers from a doctor, 71% of women say there was a period of time where they knew something wasn’t right but couldn’t identify exactly what it was. “When women don’t receive the proper diagnosis right away, they can’t get the care they need, which often leads to a decline in their physical and emotional well-being,” Dunja Kokotovic of Intima said. When it comes to pelvic floor issues, 31% of women say it affects their fitness routines, 39% claim it impacts their mental health, and 36% say it’s had a negative effect on their romantic relationships.
