A shocking 12% of Americans pee in the shower daily, a Talker Research survey of 2,000 adults found. 30% of men relieve themselves while showering on a regular basis, compared to 20% of women. But why would someone do this when the toilet is nearby? “Peeing in the shower often reflects our modern obsession with multitasking—even in moments meant for relaxation,” therapist Clint Kreider of Still Water Wellness Group said. “For some, it’s a cheeky rebellion against societal ‘rules;’ for others, it’s sheer efficiency.” This practice may suggest anxiety over time scarcity. Despite the number of people who admit to using the space for a quick tinkle, the average American cleans their shower only nine times per year. (Talker Research)
