Researchers discovered a huge “megalodon” goldfish in the waters of Erie County, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service is now reminding fish owners not to release their goldfish into waterways. “One goldfish might not seem like a big deal, but they multiply fast,” a USFWS post reads. “Goldfish spawn several times a season, and because they have no natural predators in most North American waters, their populations explode.” The accompanying photo shows Corey Ketchum holding the giant fish, which is bright orange and bigger than his hand.
