Residents of an English village took a creative approach to their pothole problem. Castle Camp citizen James Coxall asked his family to help him build wooden legs and feet, and placed them upside-down in a hole. From a distance, it looks like someone fell and landed headfirst. “We just thought that would be the most amusing way to sort of highlight the pothole,” he said. But the stunt gained enough attention that, after eight months, the hole was quickly maintained and filled. Now, Coxall has ideas for other potholes in the area, like a replica of a sinking ship.
