43% of women never lift weights at the gym, a Talker Research survey for Burn Boot Camp found. Of those who have lifted at the gym, 55% feel intimidated and worry about how they look, and 42% lack the confidence to do it in front of other people. “So many people, women in particular, are finding themselves overwhelmed by anxiety and frustration around body image,” Morgan Kline of Burn Boot Camp said. “By focusing on real empowerment — challenging workouts and mental resilience — we help women realize they can break any barrier.” 43% of the 2,000 women polled are looking to lose weight, while 40% are focused on better sleep and 29% are aiming to increase physical strength.
