Women who own small businesses feel more fulfilled than women working 9 to 5 jobs, a survey of 1,000 women found. The poll, conducted by Talker Research, found that 91% of owners feel fulfilled in their professional lives, while only 55% of aspiring entrepreneurs felt the same way. In the next decade, 80% of respondents expect to see more women-run businesses. “As a female entrepreneur, I can say that while my journey to business ownership hasn’t been zero-risk, it sure has changed my life and my family’s lives for the better,” Kiddie Academy Franchisee Carin Anderson Perino said. Benefits of owning one’s own business include a flexible schedule (38%), more work-personal life balance (35%), and the desire to leave a legacy (30%). (Talker Research)
