Parents spend 67 hours annually bargaining with their kids, a Talker Research survey of 2,000 parents found. The SeaPak-commissioned poll showed that pushback often takes places at dinnertime. 37% of parents say their child complains about eating vegetables, 33% say their kids dislike the smell of the food, and 32% of parents have heard kids say they don’t like how their food looks. “The good news is that with a little creativity, introducing new foods and flavors into familiar dishes can help children expand their palates,” Meaghan Murphy of SeaPak. Common foods kids never turn down include pizza (76%), chicken nuggets (73%), and fries (72%). (Talker Research)
