57% of Americans aren’t honest with their dentist, a Talker Research survey of 2,000 adults found. The poll commissioned by Aspen Dental found that 60% of participants want to impress their dentists, and 33% don’t want their doctor to think “less” of them. 19% admit to “panic lying”…that is, unintentionally telling a fib when put on the spot. However, 48% believe their dentist sees right through their white lie. “Maintaining adequate oral health can be overwhelming. That’s why it’s so important to have a dentist who you feel comfortable connecting with,” Dr. Taylor Sutton of Aspen Dental said. (Study Finds)
