A Japanese study found that a lack of libido is linked to a higher death risk in men. The analysis of 20,000 people found that less-frisky fellows were two-thirds more likely to pass away compared to more robust men. Shockingly, men who didn’t have sex at all were found to have a 72% higher chance of dying from cancer. On the other hand, there was no link between a lower sex drive and higher mortality risk in women. “Based on these results, we speculate that maintaining sexual interest may be related to positive psychological wellbeing,” researchers wrote in the journal PLOS One. They specifically mentioned “ikigai” in their findings: The Japanese word for a reason to live. (dailymail.co.uk)
