An Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi had to turn around after eight of its 12 toilets became clogged five hours into the trip. Employees discovered passengers had flushed plastic bags, rags, and even clothing down the toilets. A spokesperson for the airline urged flyers to “use lavatories only for purposes they are meant for.” Passengers were given hotel accommodations and alternative flight options for their inconvenience.
