Actors With Dwarfism Upset At “Snow White” Casting Choice

Some actors with dwarfism are accusing Disney of discrimination for using CGI dwarves in the live-action remake of “Snow White.” Performer Choon Tan, who has dwarfism, said he finds the film’s reliance on CGI to be “absolutely absurd.” “There really is nothing wrong casting someone with dwarfism as a dwarf in any given opportunity,” Tan said. “It’s also an opportunity for young children to see someone with dwarfism.” Fellow performer Blake Johnston agreed. “We have plenty of dwarf actors out there who are dying for roles like this,” he commented. “Snow White” premiered Wednesday night at a remote castle in Segrovia, north of Madrid.
