According to stats from ActivTrak, the American workday is shorter now than in was in 2022. The average workday now ends at 4:39 p.m., earlier than 2022’s quitting time of 5:21 p.m. In total, the average American works 8 hours and 41 minutes a day. Despite the shorter work time, productivity is actually up 2%. “These are healthy numbers,” Gabriela Mauch of ActivTrak’s Productivity Lab said. These figures are based on 200,000 workers at 800 companies. However, the country is still behind most of the developed world in terms of work-life balance.
