When it comes to relationships, millennials care more about good sex than most other factors. The Talker Research survey conducted for Newsweek found that 86% of those polled prioritized satisfying romps, 72% care about having similar hobbies, and 60% think taste in TV is important. “Millennials grew up with some pretty questionable messaging about sex,” sex educator Emma Hewitt said. “A lot of which focused on how to please and pleasure your partner but never how to ensure that you were also receiving the kind of pleasure that you need.” However, she warns against thinking good sex alone will “trickle into” and solve other parts of the relationship. “If you can talk openly and effectively about sex, you should be able to do the same about other elements of your relationship.” (Talker Research)
