SeaWorld has been fined after a Florida employee was injured by a killer whale in September 2024. An Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) investigation concluded that the trainer was “not properly protected from hazards.” SeaWorld was asked to pay a fine of $16,550, and has 15 business days to comply, request a conference, or contest the findings. SeaWorld has faced criticisms for its shows involving orca whales, as several trainers have lost their lives while working with killer whales. (AOL)
