Amidst a brand crisis, more consumers are trading in their Tesla vehicles. As of March 15th, Teslas have accounted for 1.4% of all trade-ins at traditional dealerships. This is up from .4% a year ago. Fewer people appear to be looking to buy a Tesla: Cars.com searches for used Teslas are down 16% from January. “Tesla enjoyed exclusivity and market dominance for quite a long time, but other automakers are getting into the EV space,” Cars.com analyst David Greene said. Searches for non-Tesla electric vehicles are up 28% since last year. (newser)
