A British judge admonished members of the Royal Air Force for vandalizing a statue of Paddington bear. 22-year-olds Daniel Heath and William Lawrence confessed that they were responsible for breaking and stealing the statue on March 2nd. The men were reportedly intoxicated as they made away with the icon. “Your actions were the antithesis of everything Paddington stands for,” Judge Sam Goozee said. “He represents kindness [and] tolerance and promotes integration and acceptance in our society.” The artwork had been installed last fall to mark the release of “Paddington in Peru.” (newser)
