A New Jersey police chief has been accused of creating an “Animal House-like” atmosphere at work. Five officers working under Chief Robert Farley have filed notices to sue him for a variety of “pranks” including: defecating on the floor; shaving his body hair over people’s property and food; using racial slurs; jabbing a fellow officer in their privates with a hypodermic needle; spiking office coffee with Viagra; and forcing officers to do his child’s schoolwork. Officers also say they’ve been subject to retaliation for complaining, and that Farley denied them promotions and sent sex toys to their homes. Some officials involved say an investigation is underway. (newser)
