The New Zoo & Adventure Park in Wisconsin almost recaptured a pair of escaped otters…but they dodged a trap thanks to a wily raccoon. North American river otters Louie and Ophelia escaped during a storm on March 20th, but attempts to recover them have been thwarted time and time again. “Raccoons have, unfortunately, impeded some of our efforts, even setting off one trap not long before an otter arrived and tried to enter it,” the zoo reported on social media. They are now attempting to use a “raccoon-proof” method. (UPI)
