On Reddit, one poster says her Gen-Z coworker could tell their age by their email address. The employee says their email address is simply their first and last name, @gmail.com. “How did you get an email address like that??” their Gen Z peer asked. “I had to explain when Gmail first came out, it was invitation only, but I got one from a friend early on and my name was still available and oh my god I’m old,” the Gen Xer said. Other commenters revealed their age by exposing their email addresses. “I’m EarthLink.net old,” one Redditor joked. “I still use my AOL email. It’s a badge of honor at this point. I love that it triggers certain people,” another said. (Vice)
