A study from Binghamton University in New York found that workplace drama can actually bond coworkers together. Researchers examining a South Korean broadcasting company found that after leaders were let go, employees from other departments began to coordinate and bond. Researchers believe this could also hold true for less dramatic work experiences, as similar experiences can help people bond. “When you’re in the in-group, you’re more likely to help each other out and have each other’s backs,” study author Matthew Lyle said. “We know we can create those things artificially, but why not create them around some shared experience that makes a memory, that makes people want to work together?” (Study Finds)
