Dozens Of LA Trees Cut Down Friday Night

Los Angeles police are searching for a vandal who allegedly chopped down dozens of shade trees in the dead of night. Large trees were felled on multiple streets including South Grand Avenue and Olympic Boulevard between Friday and Saturday night, officials say. “I don’t know why someone would take away from the trees, especially in downtown which is not a lot of opportunity for trees to grow,” a man surveying the damage said.
