A group of scientists in the UK are working to create purses and totes made of T. rex skin. The prehistoric hide would be grown from the fossilized remains of one of earth’s scariest creatures. “We’re unlocking the potential to engineer leather from prehistoric species, starting with the formidable T-Rex,” Che Connon of Lab-Grown Leather said. The collagen that results from the project is likely to resemble the hide of a cow. (NBC News)
