One in four people would tell their co-worker that their breath stinks, a nationwide survey of 2,000 Americans found. 62% of respondents have been told their breath was less than fresh at some point in their lives. In the West, 12% of respondents would tell a stranger that they had bad breath, while only 7% of Northeastern Americans were so bold. However, if bad breath is persistent, it might indicate a condition like gum disease or tonsil stones. “If the odor doesn’t go away when you clean your teeth in the morning or after a meal, or comes back very quickly, we’d encourage you to make an appointment with your local dentist,” experts from AffordableDentures advise.
