Moderna’s combined Covid and flu shot outperformed standalone vaccines in a phase 3 clinical trial, according to an article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The trial included over 8,000 adults ages 50 and up. The trial aimed to see if the combination vaccine was able to generate more antibodies in blood samples. “This is very promising and it suggests this vaccine should have similar or higher levels of protection to traditional flu vaccines,” Dr. Jesse Goodman said. A combination shot could make it easier to get vaccinated against Covid and the flu with one jab. (AOL)
