Mom ‘Attacks Principal And Superintendent’ After Being Called To School Over Daughter’s Fighting

A North Carolina mother was arrested and charged with assaulting a school employee and trespassing after a violent incident at her daughter’s middle school. Mariah Hector, 33, was called to Randolph Middle School in Charlotte on May 5 due to her daughter’s involvement in a fight. According to an affidavit, Hector became hostile during the meeting and was asked to leave. Instead, she allegedly pushed past an employee, shoved the school principal Jennifer Schroeder into a wall, and then grabbed Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Dean by the neck, attempting to choke her. Dean did not lose consciousness but had visible signs of injury. The school was placed on lockdown, and Hector was taken into custody.
