A nationwide survey of 5,000 pet owners uncovered state-by-state “pet owner superlatives.” Results revealed that Alaska has the most adventurous and attached pets, with 62% of Alaskans saying their pets always want to explore. Kansas and Wyoming also ranked among the states with the most adventurous pets. The survey, commissioned by Banfield Pet Hospital and conducted by Talker Research, also found that Kentuckians were most likely to take their pets to the vet, while Tennessee owners had the most pet-focused wellness apps. Massachusetts residents celebrated their pets’ birthdays the most, and Marylanders were the biggest pet pamperers. Other findings highlighted the well-traveled nature of pets in Louisiana, Florida, and New York, as well as the “homebody” tendencies of pets in Indiana and Nevada. (Talker Research)
