A recent survey of 2,000 U.S. women aged 30-65 reveals that the average woman attempts to lose weight seven times over her lifetime, but succeeds only once. The double-blind poll found that 78% of participants have tried weight loss before, often turning to methods like healthier diets (78%), supplements (41%), beverages (39%), and fad diets (31%). Some women have also explored modern medical interventions, with 14% reporting use of GLP-1 medications and 7% trying bariatric surgery or endoscopic procedures. Three-quarters of respondents stated that weight loss is crucial for their overall health and wellbeing, with the top motivators being appearance (65%), physical health (63%), and personal satisfaction (59%). Despite these efforts, 41% admitted to being unhappy with their current weight, and 43% said it has impacted their self-confidence. (Talker)
