United, Delta To Face Lawsuits Over ‘Windowless’ Window Seat Fees

A law firm says United Airlines and Delta Air Lines could face federal lawsuits over selling “windowless window seats” to passengers. The Go Law firm claims the airlines “misled customers” by offering window seats that don’t actually have windows, even though passengers may pay extra for that feature. The firm says this practice could violate airline passenger rights and constitute false advertising. Attorney Casey Olbrantz says the firm aims to “hold United and Delta accountable” for this “unfair and misleading business practice.” The lawsuits could become class actions, with the firm encouraging affected passengers in California to join. Some passengers have expressed online astonishment over missing windows in their window seats. Alaska Airlines has previously explained this is due to the placement of air conditioning ducts on Boeing 737 aircraft. (NBC Bay Area)
