A new survey reveals that death and estate planning rank among the most uncomfortable family discussion topics, with 25% of respondents finding these conversations difficult. The Talker Research study of 750 Americans found that only sex and relationships were harder to discuss at 33%. Despite 65% having planned their own funerals and 17% thinking about death daily, two-thirds lack estate plans. Trust & Will CEO Cody Barbo said “The idea that you need to be rich to justify an estate plan is one of the most damaging myths out there.” Only 17% have considered inheritance distribution, while 38% believe they lack sufficient assets for planning.
