Research reveals 64 percent of Gen Z adults willingly wear stained clothes in public, compared to just 44 percent of baby boomers. The survey of 2,000 adults found 62 percent of young people spill food on new clothing immediately after purchase, versus 23 percent of boomers. Gen Z also leads in dropping food at special events like weddings, with 74 percent experiencing spills compared to 32 percent of older adults. The research found 37 percent keep unwearable stained items, while 31 percent own specific clothes for messy meals. The most common spills come from tomato-based sauces, oil or grease – and gravy.
