American Airlines ranked as the top U.S. airline with a score of 7.64 out of 10, according to AirHelp’s annual survey. The company analyzed data from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, evaluating on-time performance, claim processing and customer experience. American earned scores of 7.1 for punctuality, 8 for customer opinion and 7.8 for claim processing. United Airlines placed second with 7.54, followed by Delta at 7.46. Eric Napoli, Chief Legal Officer at AirHelp, said American “were able to get passengers their compensation quicker” than competitors. The rankings included Frontier Airlines at 7.07, Hawaiian Airlines at 6.73, Southwest at 6.68, Alaska Airlines at 5.95, and JetBlue at 5.31. AirHelp defined on-time flights as arriving “within 15 minutes of its published arrival time” and cross-referenced statistics with airport databases and government agencies for accuracy. (Story URL)
