Ariana Grande’s latest Florida stop carried a personal piece of history with it.
The singer headlined Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, the same venue where she made her public singing debut as a child. At age 8, Grande performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Florida Panthers game in 2002, when the arena was still known as the Office Depot Center.
More than two decades later, she returned to the building as a global pop star, performing the first of three sold-out shows on her Eternal Sunshine tour.
The moment was marked by the arena and the Florida Panthers, who shared archival footage and photos from Grande’s early performance. The posts highlighted the contrast between her childhood appearance at center ice and her return as a headlining artist.
Grande also acknowledged the Florida shows on Instagram, thanking fans after the opening night performance.
For longtime followers, the concert added a full-circle detail to her career story: a singer who once stood in the same building for one of her first public moments now returned as the main event.
