Five Finger Death Punch has launched a new video series, “Guitar Zero: Legends Of The Fail,” in which singer Ivan Moody embarks on a journey to learn to play guitar. In episode one, Moody checks in with Hellyeah's Tom Maxwell and gets advice that maybe he should take up cooking instead of playing guitar.
The show is the second the band has launched online, following its “Quarantine Theater 2020” series, in which Moody, guitarist Zoltan Bathory and bassist Chris Kael offering commentary on the band's past music videos in the style of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Five Finger Death Punch's latest album, F8, was released on February 28th and features the current single “A Little Bit Off.”
Moody told us that the lyrics to “A Little Bit Off” were inspired by a single, short entry in his private journal: “I literally woke up and I wrote, 'I'm a little bit off today.' And that was the only line that I wrote down on that date, and that is what actually spawned into being the first line of that song. So yeah, I mean, one line is just as important as an entire paragraph in my opinion.”
The band's spring tour with Papa Roach, I Prevail and Ice Nine Kills has been postponed and rescheduled for the fall. The trek was originally due to run from April 8th to May 20th, but will now kick off on September 28th in Sunrise, Florida.
