Arctic Monkeys' video for the hit single “Do I Wanna Know?” has surpassed one billion views on YouTube. Released in June 2013, the single appeared on the British band's highly-acclaimed fifth album AM and was their first Number One track in the U.S.
Less than 25 clips have hit the one billion mark on the video streaming site, with fewer than a dozen of them being rock acts.
Other music videos that have crossed the billion-view threshold include Nirvana's “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Guns N' Roses' “November Rain” and “Sweet Child O' Mine,” Linkin Park's “Numb,” Queen's “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Katy Perry's “Roar,” Taylor Swift's “Shake 'Em Off” and Ed Sheeran's “Shape Of You.” The most-viewed clip is “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee, with 6.8 billion views.
Arctic Monkeys' most recent album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, came out in May 2018.
