Tory Lanez released a surprise album called DAYSTAR last night and addressed the Megan Thee Stallion shooting. Yesterday afternoon (September 24th), the rapper broke his silence on Instagram, saying, “To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence … but respectfully .. I got time today.” Most people thought that he was going to go live to address the shooting, but instead, later on her wrote via Instagram, “There's a time to stay silent. And a time to speak . . . I said all I could say on this . . . ALL PLATFORMS IN 5 MINUTES . . .. #DAYSTAR.”
The 17 track album arrived via Sound Cloud and on the opening “Money Over Fallouts” he raps about his side of the story. According to HipHopDx, about two minutes in, he raps, “Can’t cry now, I’m gonna laugh later. Girl you had the nerve to write that statement on that affidavit, knowing I don’t do it/But I’m coming at my truest, tryin’ to keep this sh*t 200 with ya, shorty/I can’t prove it but them people in yo’ ear/They the true ones that I feel that really got you thinking Tory Lanez would do you in for real.”
He continued, “Don’t forget you was my b*tch, I held it down and kept it real/I would never paint no fake picture of you just for some mills/And I thought that you were solid too, but look at how you doing me/Look at you doing me, people tryin’ to ruin me.”
Later in the song, he questions Megan's injuries, rapping, “How the f*ck you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?” He ends the track by bragging about having “bad b*tches who want to have an orgy.”
