Elle King is about to officially release her first single to Country radio. Her label, RCA Records, recently partnered with Sony Music Nashville to allow Elle more musical flexibility, beginning with her new single “Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)” featuring Miranda Lambert. The song has made its way to both the Rock and AC charts already, something that Elle tells us she didn't think would ever be a possibility after experiencing it once before with her 2014 debut hit “Ex's & Oh's.”
She said: “This was a song that started when I was like 24 years old and we re-wrote it and it's like, 'Sure, like this is a good song. It could stand on it's own,' but something was missing and Miranda and I were becoming friends and it's just like, 'What if Miranda sang on this with me?' So I asked her to do it. I also never thought that I would be doing two formats again like 'Ex's & Oh's.' I never thought that that would ever repeat itself in my life or in my career.”
Elle is set to hit the road with Chris Stapleton on his All American Road Show beginning on July 28th in Gilford, NH. She is expecting her first child, and will bravely remain on the road until two weeks before her due date.
