According to Marilyn Manson‘s attorney, Kent Barker, the videographer who filed a lawsuit against his client after he allegedly spit at and blew his nose on her consented to such offenses when she signed on to film his concert in Gilford, NH in August of 2019 because she already knew of his “shocking and evocative antics.” Barker maintains that videographer Susan Fountain “consented to exposing herself to potential contact with sweat, saliva and phlegm in close quarters.”
Fountain worked for the venue and was broadcasting footage of the show to the large video screens playing behind Manson during the concert.
An arrest warrant was issued for Manson in October of 2019 after Fountain filed two misdemeanor simple assault charges against him.
He turned himself in to authorities in July and entered a not guilty plea.
In other Manson news, the lawsuit brought against him by a Jane Doe who accused him of rape has been tossed out by a judge. TMZ reports the suit was dismissed on Tuesday (September 14th) due to an expired statute of limitations. This particular suit was filed in May but dated back to 2011.
Manson is still being sued for sexual assault by three other women including his former assistant and Game of Thrones star Esme Bianco.
