During his latest Drink Champs episode with Snoop Dogg, N.O.R.E. revealed that Eminem told Jay Z that he wouldn't perform at the Superbowl without 50 Cent. N.O.R.E. said, “I said to Jay-Z, I have to ask this straight up. ‘Who is gonna perform at the NFL?’ and he (Jay) said to me—and I’m sorry for everybody who don’t understand—and he (Jay) said, ‘the white guy called for 50 Cent.’ I said, ‘Who is the white guy? Jimmy Iovine? And he said, ‘No, Eminem called directly for Fifty and he said I can’t do it if I can’t bring 50 with me.'”
N.O.R.E. added, “That’s spiritual.”
Snoop responded, “Of course, that’s his guy! And guess who’s Dre’s guy? It’s me!”
Meanwhile, 50 responded to Em telling Jay Z that he wouldn't perform at the Super Bowl without 50, saying, “Why would he have to say that should be the question? NORE Your big homie is running around trying to look like a gay painter. LOL.” He also called out Jay-Z for calling Eminem “the white boy,” saying, “Why did he say the white boy, why he didn’t say the biggest rap artist in the world? Happy Easter! man enjoy the holidays.”
Snoop also discussed the minor criticism Dr. Dre received for his Superbowl performance, saying, “What people don’t understand is, he didn’t do nothing from the Ruthless catalog, the Death Row catalog, nothing from Snoop Dogg’s catalog… He only had 12 minutes. What could you do in twelve f*cking minutes where you could satisfy everybody? … You gonna miss a beat, where was Ice Cube? That’s the ace in the hole.”
He also revealed that he wasn't sure if he wanted to perform, saying, “Dr. Dre called to say, ‘They want me to do the Super Bowl, I don’t know if I wanna do it.’ One thing you gotta know about Dr. Dre, is he’s a guy that’s in the moment. So if he don’t feel like he’s got a record that’s relevant at the moment, then he doesn’t think he is the moment.”
