Carly Pearce's current single, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” featuring Lee Brice, bookends a significant chapter in her life. She co-wrote the personal song, which Carly tells us helped her close the door. “It’s a closing chapter for me of a turning point in my life. When I stepped out of that relationship and found the real love, like, the real thing, that is what changed the course of my life forever, in every way. I did not realize – and I think sometimes when you’re in, just, a relationship that there’s nothing really wrong but it’s really not right, you are clouded to so many different things. And for me, this song and this emotion – and that’s why I wanted this song to come out is – it was the turning point, and I think it can be the turning point for a lot of people.”
“I Hope You're Happy Now” will be included on Carly's upcoming self-titled album, due out on on Valentine’s Day (February 14th).
