R. Kelly has been ordered to pay $300,000 to some of his victims for Herpes and psychological trauma. According to TMZ, there was a restitution hearing in Brooklyn on Wednesday (September 28th) where a judge weighed in on what Kelly will have to pay to a few victims in his New York sex crimes case.
For a victim named “Jane,” the judge said that Kelly will be ordered to fork over around $300K to cover treatment related to herpes, as well as psychological care that she apparently requires. He will also have to do the same for another victim named “Stephanie,” although a firm number hasn't been decided yet.
Meanwhile, a third victim named “Sonja,” was denied restitution. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison for committing federal sex crimes.
He was also recently convicted in his federal case out of Chicago — in which he was accused of similar crimes — and there could be restitution in that case, as well.
