MISSY ELLIOTT AND A TRIBE CALLED QUEST AMONG 2023 ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES: Missy Elliot and A Tribe Called Quest are among the nominees for this year’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame revealed its list of nominees, which includes, Missy Elliott, A Tribe Called Quest, Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden, The Spinners, The White Stripes, and Warren Zevon. The 2023 inductees will be announced in May, with the ceremony taking place in the fall.
NBA YOUNGBOY IS BECOMING A MORMON: According to Rap-Up, NBA YoungBoy is planning to become a Mormon, crediting the Christian theology with helping pull him out of a dark place. In a new interview with Billboard, the rapper said that his intro to the Mormon faith began when he received a visit from Mormon missionaries. He explained, “I wanted help very badly. I needed a friend. And it hit me. It was just cool to see someone with a different mindset that had nothing to do with business or money — just these wonderful souls.” NBA YoungBoy credits the missionaries for helping him “make sure my heart is in the right space.”
DJ MUSTARD AGREES TO PAY ESTRANGED WIFE ALMOST $19K IN CHILD SUPPORT: According to RadarOnline, DJ Mustard has agreed to pay his estranged wife Chanel Thierry over $18,000 in temporary child support. According to The Shade Room, Chanel wanted $84, 628 in child support since Mustard allegedly made over $10 million. In addition, Mustard and Chanel also agreed to participate in a Voluntary Settlement Conference, and Mustard will use this time to turn over requested financial docs to Chanel.
