A survey of 2,000 Americans found that 53% believe women don’t get enough credit for their grilling skills. However, 55% of men still think grilling is a male-dominated activity. “We know meals bring people together,” Jody Hallman of Perdue said. “We believe grilling is an equal-opportunity activity that all members of the household can and should enjoy.” More than half of Americans agree that burgers, hot dogs, and steaks are must-haves for the grill. As for underrated proteins, 27% believe fish deserve more attention on the grill, and 16% think chicken is an unsung hero. 63% of respondents say grilled food is some of their favorite foods to eat.
