Mongoose And Cobra Fight On Tarmac

A flight was delayed at the Jay Prakash Narayan Airport in India due to a fight between a mongoose and a cobra. The two animals were duking it out on the runway, and footage taken from the plane shows the battle ending when two additional mongooses came to help. In the wild, the two animals prey on one another: Cobras tend to eat the mongoose’s young, while the adult mongoose eats cobras. It’s estimated that the mongoose wins the fight against cobras about 75% of the time. (NY Post)
