Study: Overdose Deaths Down 10%

Overdose deaths have dropped 10% between April 2023 and April 2024, according to statistics compiled by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is the largest drop on record, and could represent a turning point in the battle against America’s opioid epidemic. “This will be a historic moment for public health,” Nabarun Dasgupta of the University of North Carolina said. “Where the direction lines go from here, I have no idea.” (UPI)
