38% of young singles consider themselves happy, a survey of 1,073 Gen Zers found. The recent UCLA study challenges the notion that those who are not in romantic partnerships are miserable. However, friendships proved to be a critical factor: The happiest 11% also report high levels of friendship satisfaction. The unhappiest 9% suffered from low levels of friendship satisfaction. These results suggest that strong friendship bonds can compensate for a lack of a romantic bond. (Study Finds)
